The Mission Folk Music Festival enters its second quarter century buzzing with a rich sense of musical wonder as it continues to \; find the best\, the rarest\, the unheard of that should be heard while nurturing local artists and reaching around the globe to bring in the world's great music. From Roots and Blues to Celtic\, soulful Gospel\, some of the finest songwriters around\, a look at the music of the world on our own doorstep\, music made right here in BC\; new faces\, voices and emerging artists\, the 2013 festival is as rich and diverse as ever. It is a challenging task to balance the new and even daring with brilliant reflections of familiar sounds and traditions and bring it all together in a festival format in a small semi-rural town on a weekend in July\; but this is exactly what the Mission Folk Music Festival does. This year's lineup is another reflection of the wonder of music and the people who make it.
