SUMMARY:Defining Mission
DESCRIPTION:What image comes to mind when you think of Mission? \n\nPlaces\, like products\, have a brand. Your image of Mission and the image people from outside our community have when they think about Mission matters.\n\nHow we grow and prosper is affected by our brand. We can manage our brand\, but first we need to define it. \n\n \n\nWhat is Mission?s Brand?\n\nMission is planning for change and growth as the city works to revitalize the downtown and promote development on the waterfront. Through the planning process\, it has been identified that Mission is lacking a cohesive community brand. What do people think when they think of Mission ? what is our brand?\n\n\n\nHow we create growth and manage development does depend on our image\, our brand. Based on community values\, it will influence the place we will become. \n\n\n\nAfter a summer of exploring themes defining Mission and in partnership with Community Futures North Fraser & Mission Community Services\, we are hosting an event to Define Mission.\n\n\n\nKeynote: Defining Place\n\n Bob Rennie\, Rennie Marketing Systems\n\n\n\nQ & A Session: Mission from the Outside\n\n Bob Rennie\, Principal of Rennie Marketing Systems\n\n Gordon Price\, Director of the City Program at Simon Fraser University\n\n Craig Toews\, Executive Director\, Campus Planning\, UFV\n\n Terry Lister\, retired Urban Planner & Fraser Valley Historian\n\n\n\nCommunity Workshops: \n\n What comes to Mind when You Think of Mission?\n\n\n\nThis event is FREE to all members of the community.
