DESCRIPTION:Mission Overdose Community Action Team hosts this much anticipated\n\nSts'ailes Telmexw Awtexw Healing Centre workshop.\n\nFacilitators Jordan White\, Monica Upshaw and Tim Felix invite\n\nparticipants to join in dialogue centered around decolonizing substance\n\nuse\, Indigenous harm-reduction\, the 7 grandfather teachings as well as\n\nthe Sts'ailes 7 laws of life.\n\nThroughout the training will be conversations on colonialism\, power\,\n\nprivilege\, oppression as well as stories of resistance\, hope\, and\n\nIndigenous strength.\n\nThe facilitators strive to engage in knowledge democracy whereby\n\nhonouring all the wisdom\, teachings\, and experiences of participants\,\n\nrecognizing the collective wisdom that exists when we come together.\n\nWorkshop content will be facilitated by weaving together a combination\n\nof experiential exercises\, stories\, presentation-style as well as small and\n\nlarge group discussions.\n\nTELMEXW AWTEXW:\n\nThursday\, November 26\, 1pm to 4pm\n\nCopper Hall\, 33129 N Railway Ave\, Mission\n\nWalking Together in a Good Way\n\nSpace is limited.
