Cal CrawfordCal Crawford, Landmark Realty

Having steered the Chamber for five times, Cal is a community leader who operates with integrity and ethics. "Putting People First" is his personal trademark, while also defining his reputation within the community. A recognized parliamentarian, Cal also serves as Chair of Community Futures North Fraser Investments and is a past president of the Mission Mid-Day Rotary Club. Cal has been awarded with the District of Mission "Exemplary Citizen" award in 1992, the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce "Citizen of the Year" award in 1995 and the "Business Leader of the Year" award in 2010.
 


Carol HamiltonCarol Hamilton, Envision Financial
Carol has  lived in Mission for 38 years and started her career in banking in 1981 with the TD Bank in Mission.  In 2001 she moved to Envision Financial and has held the position of Branch Manager of the Mission Branch since 2007. She is serving a 3rd term as an elected School Trustee for Mission Public Schools, having held the positions of both Chair and Vice Chair of The Board. A member of the Mid-Day Rotary Club in Mission, Chair in the 2014 Winter Games within the Sport Directorate, in her busy life she strives everyday to see the “lighter side of life”.


Tricia TownsendTricia Townsend, University of the Fraser Valley
Tricia is the Executive Assistant to the Vice President, External at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV). Tricia is passionate about people and the communities UFV serves. As Executive Assistant to the External office she is positioned nicely to serve as a link between the Mission Chamber, the community and the university. Tricia believes in placing a high value on environmental, social and economic sustainability in all her endeavours and is an integrity powered leader, committed to the success of those she serves. Her experience is service related with excellent organizational, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Dave SawatzkyDave Sawatzky, Nutek Sign Creations

Co-Owner of Nutek Sign Creations, Mission BC., David is a Community Minded, Family-Centric Business Professional; experienced in Management & Leadership, Client Relations and Business Development. His strengths include
• Team Building – Fosters a culture of customer service combined with shared success, benefiting all parties involved.
• Communications –Utilizes effective listening skills to assess need and responds with adaptive ideas and a well-thought approach to problem solving. Communicates clearly and holds participants interest whether verbally or in print, simply or with the aid of visual media.
• Short & Long-Term Planning – Analytical thinking; able to unearth opportunities. Fostering change, building consensus, utilizing resources and relationships, contributing to “grass roots” insight affecting day-to-day and long term planning.

Sean MeliaPresident: Sean Melia, Prospera Credit Union

Manager of Mission’s Prospera Credit Union since 2004, Sean finds value in the network the Chamber offers.  As a Past President he has helped evolve the Chamber in its present direction.  Sean is a fully involved community leader who additionally sits on the Board of Community Futures North Fraser and co-Chairs the Economic Development Commission of the District of Mission. He also has been a Big Brother since 2003.


 

Ann HarperVice President: Ann Harper, CA, Mission City Business Centre

Having always been involved in business since working as a cashier for her father as a teenager, Ann chose to live in Mission in 2006. She received her Chartered Accountant designation while working for Deloitte and Touché small business division. Ann believes in the value of relationships which she has learned in her many years in volunteering for non-profit Boards and working with home-based businesses.  She is the currently the in-term Treasurer.



Trevor GirardTreasurer: Trevor Girard, FutureRight Insurance Services
 

Trevor has served on the Chamber Membership Committee for the past 2 years as an avid contributor. Owner of FutureRight Insurance Services Canada, he is an insurance broker and entrepreneur. In the financial industry for more than 6 years he specializes in various insurance and investment strategies.
