On Wednesday, June 20, Community Futures North Fraser is hosting a presentation on how to sell your business with a small town focus. Selling a business can be a challenging process, particularly in a smaller community. To make it a smooth and rewarding experience requires some thought and preparation, and a good understanding of the process.

Preparing your business for sale
How to put a price on your business
What potential buyers want to see and where to find buyers
Who are your partners in the process
Getting to a sale closing

Whether you are selling your business now or you are a small business owner wanting to sell your business some day, this seminar will provide insight into the steps you need to take. This presentation is also helpful for individuals considering buying a business.
Many business owners don’t fully prepare for the transition of their business, and this can hamper their ability to sell the business for what it’s worth. Understanding the steps, and preparing your sales package, will help your business sell faster, and for more dollars.
The Presenters:
Allan Main
Allan is the Executive Director of North Fraser Community Futures who previously worked as a consultant with small businesses. He has supported clients though the sales and purchase process, and worked through the For Sale by Owner process with a business that he owned.
Wayne Fobert
Wayne is a Business consultant providing support to Community Futures clients with preparing business plans and financial forecasts. He has owned and sold several businesses and has a long career providing financial planning and marketing training to entrepreneurs.
