Free Garden Workshops – Every Saturday in August!
Join the Dunsmuir Neighbourhood Association for a free six-part garden workshop series with Alan, a seasoned viticulturist and passionate home gardener. Workshops take place Saturdays in August (Aug 9, 16, 23, 30), with more sessions to come in September and October. Learn about native alternatives, pest management, soil health, propagation, agroecology, and more!

👨🌾 About Alan:
Alan is a 12-year veteran of the vineyard world, having worked with grapes across both the Fraser and Okanagan valleys. He recently completed a diploma in Agriculture Technology at UFV to broaden his expertise. A passionate home gardener, Alan specializes in seed saving and propagation of heritage plants. He believes every garden is a good garden—whether it’s an acre of perfection or a pot on a windowsill.
