How do you respond in the workplace when a co-worker has died? How do you support a co-worker who has a family member with a terminal illness? CHARLES NECHTEM will be presenting these topics and others related to grief issues at home and in the workplace while in Abbotsford on Thursday, October 27, 2011. Chuck is the founder of Charles Nechtem Associates, Inc. (www.charlesnechtem.com ), a company focused on health and wellness in the workplace. He also owns Group Service Administrators, a provider of Employee Assistance Programs and Senior Wellness Services. In 30 years, his company has grown to serve over 5 million employees from over 1000 companies worldwide.

In 2002, Chuck further expanded his services to include the Dignity Memorial Compassion Helpline, through Service Corporation International. With this extensive group of grief specialization experts working with the helpline, millions of individuals and families have been supported and comforted through their grief process.

Chuck was the head therapist for clergy following the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. His team also provided on-site services following the devastation left from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He has provided counseling, debriefing and crisis support for police departments across the country and offers 24/7 crisis phone support and on-site support upon request. Chuck is also the author of the book “Chuck it: The Revolutionary Path to Success and Happiness.”

“With his over 30 years of experience, Chuck is an expert presenting on health and wellness in the workplace, trauma and crisis issues, and all matters relating to grief.” said Angelo Rea, Area Manager of Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes.
“His focus is keeping individuals and families in good health, mentally, physically and emotionally. We are thrilled to be bringing Chuck back to Abbotsford to share his experience with us.”
