Mission City Farmers Market Children's Day

The Farmer’s market is a great opportunity to shop local, with fresh produce and baking available every Saturday, as well as local products like soaps, cosmetics, crafts, preserves, honey, plants and flowers. There is also the weekly Heart of the Market feature, with displays by local community groups and organizations, live music, storytime, a craft for the kids and face painting. It’s always a great social event as well as a shopping trip, and a chance to meet the people who make, bake and grow our food.
Children’s Day has some extra special features, with Adopt-A-Block anchoring the heart of the Market, with a fun craft for the kids. And don’t miss the award-winning Norden the Magician, who will be wowing the crowds at 11:00. The tiny and talented fiddler Andy Kyte will be providing music starting at 10:00, and as always the English Tarts will be running the concession, so you can sit and have a cup of tea and something sweet while your kids are doing a craft or getting their face painted.
The Farmer’s Market runs every Saturday from 9-1 until October 12, at the Mission Library parking lot.
