Reel on the River - Le Havre

From Finland, LE HAVRE circles around a warm, aging bohemian artist who has retreated to the port city og Le Havre to take up work as a shoemine man. One day he befriends Idrissa, a young African immigrant and illegal refugee who is bound for England in a shipping container. The artist is determined to extend a helping hand but the law is equally determined to stand in his way. Filmed in the Norman port city of Le Havre, this comic fairy tale entertains with insightful humour and surprises along the way.
