Fire and Safety Fair (Fire Station No.1)

ROLLOVER SIMULATOR:   RCMP Rollover Simulator will be on site.  The Rollover Simulator is made up of the chassis of a motor vehicle mounted on a trailer which simulates the movements of belted & unbelted motor vehicle occupants in a vehicle rollover collision.  Through the use of hydraulics the simulator spins at a speed of 48 km/h, providing a visual demonstration of how unbelted occupants are ejected from a vehicle, or how these individuals contact each other when the vehicle is involved in a rollover collision.
GAMES/ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN:   Interactive games and fun activities will be set up for children to participate in.  Some of these activities include; fire safety bingo, Jr. fire fighters challenge, dial 911, house & hose challenge, and many other fun things to do and see.
EMERGENCY AGENCIES & PUBLIC SAFETY:          
Emergency Social Services, B.C. Ambulance, Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue, Community Policing, R.C.M.P., and many other agencies will provide valuable safety information to the public. Fire Fighters will provide an auto extrication demo, oil & water demo and a fire fighter ladder challenge.
