Mission Overdose Community Action Team hosts this much anticipated
Sts'ailes Telmexw Awtexw Healing Centre workshop.
Facilitators Jordan White, Monica Upshaw and Tim Felix invite
participants to join in dialogue centered around decolonizing substance
use, Indigenous harm-reduction, the 7 grandfather teachings as well as
the Sts'ailes 7 laws of life.
Throughout the training will be conversations on colonialism, power,
privilege, oppression as well as stories of resistance, hope, and
Indigenous strength.
The facilitators strive to engage in knowledge democracy whereby
honouring all the wisdom, teachings, and experiences of participants,
recognizing the collective wisdom that exists when we come together.
Workshop content will be facilitated by weaving together a combination
of experiential exercises, stories, presentation-style as well as small and
large group discussions.
